Good but not quite at the level of the Messenger bags
9/1/11 by Tegan
The Good:
Spacious but not huge, able to disappear into the work world without looking lame. Ooooo Canvas. Design is pretty great.
The Meh
The quality of materials does seem to be less than the messenger bags. I'm mostly complaining about the straps and hardware here, simply put they're not as high quality as I've come to expect from Chrome. I mean it's not bad by any means, but it's not reaching A+ levels here.
Verdict: Good show, perfect for the job, but I expect more when I buy something from Chrome!
Great bag for all around stuff
5/4/12 by phillybill
I was looking for a new shoulder bad that i could use in the office and around town.... this bag beats them all. I like the fact that it is more of a briefcase than a messenger bag... but it still goes well over the shoulder if loaded lightly. But I love the fact that I can really load it up if need be. I took this one step further... as I ride a brompton most of the week, I wanted to find a way to get this bag to work rather than strapping it to the rear rack. So I brought a brompton front rack assemble and then opening up the rear panel a bit more... it slides right over and hold it in place with a bit of velcro ties. Much better than the brompton frons bag.
heavy duty; not for use on bicycle
4/3/12 by David
This is a very heavy duty bag -- both good and bad. It has held up very well over the initial month plus of ownership. But it is heavy.
Also, it is not designed for cycling. I really miss not having a strap that works well if I want to wear it over one shoulder while riding on a bike -- like the nice buckles that come on the Chrome messenger bags. The bag always slips around front when it is loaded and resting on my back while I ride -- and the shoulder padding runs into the strap buckles when I try to tighten it to make it more secure.
Great bag! Love it

I have had this bag for about 4-5 months now and love using it every day. The velcro strap does stick to the fabric, but has yet to fray it. I carry this gem to work daily, with my acer aspire 15.? laptop, fits great, sleeve is padded well, and bag shows no wear. Zipper works fine, used to house charger and cables zipped daily. A+ "non" messenger bag that blends in at work.
Great!

Waxed cotton exterior with waterproof inside flap to keep the water out. Laptop sleeve is lightly padded and secured with a centered velcro strap which catches everything (even my jacket). Overall this bag is well built, versatile and can easily accommodate your gear. I really wish this came with a second strap for securing the bag when you're on a bike.
Quite satisfied with another awesome Chrome bag

I purchased this bag during the "backdoor sale", beginning of the year, and am quite happy with both the quality and overall construction of this bag. I also own one of the Soma laptop bags, and have to say that I am not disappointed with this model in the least. Definitely spacious enough to hold all my gear, and comfortable enough to carry around all day without a second thought. I'd recommend it to any of my friends looking for a laptop bag, any day!
It's My First Chrome Bag and I Dig It
1/7/12 by Karloski
I received the Anton for Christmas, and I'm quite pleased with it. It has volume and heft, a padded compartment for hardware, numerous compartments for gewgaws or other items. I hesitate to contradict other reviewers - experiences are our own - but I found the velcro restraining strap to have quite a bit of utility - it's simplicity to accommodate more or less contents is smile-inducing. I must say I'm a bit intimidated by the quality issues expressed in other reviews, but I've not encountered anything of concern to this point.
Can't recommend

My wife got me this for my birthday. I'm not crazy about the laptop compartment: the Velcro flap catches on the fabric constantly. But my bigger complaint is that the exterior zipper broke inside a month. Now it goes back.
Bag fell apart within weeks
10/4/11 by Ryan G.
I purchased this bag with high expectations. A messenger bag commonly used by carriers has to be built well, right? Not so much. For $130 what you're really getting is the chrome logo and a sub-par product. Within weeks of light use defects in craftsmanship caused the zipper to fall off (defects of craftsmanship confirmed by customer service).
Not only was the product defective but their customer service will make you jump through hoops to try and get a replacement. Sent an e-mail with my order information, description of problem and detailed photos. They have ALL THE INFORMATION NECESSARY to process a replacement but they insist you fill out some BS form which THEY should be doing due to defective products.
Save your money and buy a bag from a company that stands behind their product.
