Staff Picks
Check out what the guys and gals in the San Francisco Chrome office are riding.
Shawn
Shawn grew up riding in Truckee, CA, and despite his social tendencies, is really a bit of a hermit who spends time by himself painting and building things in his house that he rarely lets people see. Judge me if you must.
“My staff pick is the Kursk – I am on my feet all day long and this is a tough shoe with tons of support that won’t make my feet crampy. I wear them everywhere.”
Anne
Originally from Chicago, Anne loves Gropus and has a tattoo of his cheese on her arm.
“I have been riding my Metropolis for 5 years because I can fit my life in it- and still stop off for groceries on my ride home. I love how I can swing the bag around and easily get my stuff out while on my bike.”
Jesse
A San Francisco native, Jesse is a part-time semi-pro basketball player on the Oakland Zoo.
“I wear my Cobra all the time – it is great for riding through the San Francisco fog, wind, and generally odd weather patterns. It keeps me warm and is super comfy, and you can never have too many hoodies.”
Jackie
Originally from Boston, Jackie loves a good dance party and ice cream sundaes.
“My staff pick is the Pawn – it’s a cool-looking bag that is super comfortable when I ride and keeps everything dry. I can fit all my stuff in it and not worry about it getting wet or damaged – especially my laptop.”
Greg
Born in New Jersey but now Californian by choice, Greg spends his time riding between music venues in San Francisco in search of the perfect sound.
“My pick is the Metropolis – I feel naked without it. It has my whole life inside of it: where I go, it goes. My Metro carries everything I want and the tools for every eventuality - plus space for my rain coat.”
Joanie
Born in Northern California, Joanie’s personal motto is: Ride Bikes, Drink Beer, Scope Babes!
“I pick the Pasha, which I wear almost every day. It’s a super cozy and warm outer layer but looks classy and cute at the same time. The longer sleeves and lower cut back keep me warm and cover up my bits on my ride.”
Chris
Born in Southern California, Chris' personal motto is: Bike. Drink. Never say no.
“My staff pick is the Ivan. It’s a great size for everyday life. I can throw a set of my clothes, my laptop, a couple of 40’s, and my bike gear and I am set for my day in the city.”
Eddie
From the California Central Valley, Eddie spent many years riding on country back roads while avoiding dogs and enjoying some beers, and now lives in San Francisco riding around looking for better beers to enjoy with friends.
“The Soyuz – This bag is like the Mullet, business in the front and party in the back. Business - holds my laptop, important files, change of clothes, tools, wallet, and lunch. Party – turns into a portable cooler for the weekends or weekdays after work when you fill it with ice and some beer.”
